A Message From the Founder
Hi, I’m Scott — founder of AMP HR.
My career didn’t start in HR. It started in engineering — nuclear engineering, to be exact — where precision, systems thinking, and operational excellence are non-negotiable. I spent the early part of my career in technical roles before moving into HR leadership, where I quickly realized something critical: most people systems are wildly outdated, and most HR teams are expected to operate strategically without the tools, data, or support to do it. That’s why I started AMP HR.
I bring a dual perspective that’s rare in this field — deep technical fluency and decades of experience building people systems inside fast-growing startups and complex enterprises. I’ve seen firsthand how the right tools and strategy can turn HR from a reactive function into a strategic driver. And I’ve also seen how the wrong tech, applied too fast or without context, can cause more harm than good.
